If time could stand still
Would those moments still be precious
When there is no until
Would you then cherish these moments
Or let them pass you by
For moments can pass quickly
In just a blink of an eye

Love can leave you bitter
Love can leave you sweet
Love can turn your life around
And leave the world at your feet
Love can leave you happy
Love can leave you sad
Love can leave you speechless
Or give you the voice you never had
But love is never easy
It takes time to build its way
For if love was ever so quick to start
It would end on a rainy day
Love always needs thought
Though its not controlled by the head
For if we always used our heart
It would cloud our minds instead
Love doesn’t last forever
Or so it may certainly seem
Because love can last a lifetime
It depends on how you dream
So should the broken hearted
Have a cause to call their own
For though their love has parted
Their hearts are not of stone
For they feel the pang of love
They’ve felt it make them bleed
They know the price they’ve paid
Could never be agreed
But that’s the way of love
That’s how it likes to flow
For if you want to keep it
You have to let it go
